Grow up little kid, its not the old school gangsta or psycho marshall mathers, its a new vibe in his music which continues not so bad from mmlp . go listen to some repetitive rap music instead.

Dude you guys are retards, Eminem does go hard on this no matter what you think. Em is a lyricist and your ignorant ass probably does not even know what lyricism truly is and who the lyricists are. Kool G Rap was a lyricism pioneer technically for the current game and even himself said that Em was amazing just two weeks ago. The olden days literally mainly had slow gangster raps which any dude could do the shit that Em does is so unique and different and anyone who knows rap and the strategies of rap would know in their right mind that your narcissistic ass does not know a thing about rap. The rap game has a variety of diff raps and slow raps can be done by anyone. But what Em does most rappers can’t do; he has probably the most complex rap structure in the rap game, and he is mainstream. Why don’t you go suck it up and learn a thing about the rap game. True lyricism is what the rap game needs not fake ass rappers who do it for the money, learn a thing: History Lesson

good album, didnt stand up to the original MMLP, but its got some crazy songs, some serious songs, and hes got a strong message with the album. I think Eminem is wrapping up his career, i think he’s gonna drop 1 last album to clear the air, maybe with a Recovery/MMLP2 type of feel. But Shady Records is a strong label right now with major artists signed, so even if he retires, he’s definally gonna be influencing music still, maybe features here and there. Eminem will never die.

great album, but I’m so upset about this, and feel so giulty about listening to it :( fuck the internet. If it wasn’t for the internet, we would have to buy the CD (which I plan on doing anyway) and no one could leak it. I feel so bad for Em….

      • AG
        October 31, 2013 at 6:36 am

You’d rather give your hard earned money to a multi-millionaire for an overpriced cd. Think about it, nothing has changed in the last decade when it comes to CDs except their price (went up way more than inflation). “I’ll save some money and buy the digital copy,” good luck! That shit is the same god damn price…wtf! Music is a rip off. Eminem is the GOAT so I’ll still go to his shows and buy his tickets, but I’ll be damned if I’m gonna pay for something I’ve already got.

        • TW
          November 1, 2013 at 3:02 am

By buying it you are contributing to the album’s success statistically. The amount of people who buy singles or the whole CD determines the success of the album, not the amount of free downloads. I will be downloading it, but I’m also going to buy a hard copy of the CD because I’m a loyal fan to Em and know that he deserves my “hard earned money” due to the fact that he makes dope shit for me to enjoy.

Em wouldn’t mind if his album has been leaked. He’s probably done it hiself for all we know. People love his music, so they’re gonna go out and buy his album whether it’s been leaked or not. Or pre-order it, which I have. Rappers bring out mixtapes for this reason. They don’t care about the music industry, they produce music because they love to

    October 31, 2013 at 12:42 am

Not gunna lie, he only has about 3 good songs on here if you ask me. The title of this album implies he’s going back to his old badass ways. A fast spitter with hardcore lyrics, and he does not deliver on that at all. I love Eminem, enjoy this album, and think hes the best, but these last 2 albums have been kinda shitty.

    Sue me for my opinion.

    • Jon
      October 31, 2013 at 9:05 am

lol Eminem himself said that even though the title of the album is MMLP2 it wasn’t going to be anything like or related to MMLP1. It’s your own fault for having the expectations you did. You don’t like most of the songs on this album cause you’re living in the past. But you can have your opinion. I think Eminem’s opinion on what this album was supposed to be matters more though.

hardcore em fan, this does not live up to the MMLP so far.
also trying not to spoil it, for when i go pick it up ealry on the 5th. i listen up until about the end of the first loop, only 4 songs. evil twin: why do they all have main stream pop cheese loops. at least he raps slow again also. i love when em does his own loop, but not holding a note. =(

    October 31, 2013 at 2:15 am

Let me start off by saying.. I underestimated this album, after I heard the mainstream songs. (Berzerk, Survival and The Monster) Not because they were bad, they were just so different from Em’s style. Now, I’ve listened to the album and I’m mind fucked… this is a masterpiece. Nothing like MMLP, which makes it original. I think if anything he went back to the mind state he was in when he wrote MMLP, just in a more mature perspective. Also, the flows on this album are just insane! Can’t forget the lyricism either! All around an amazing piece of art. Very legendary.. By the way who else was shocked when they heard “Headlights”?!

A really good album; Em didn’t let us down once again and some of his songs sound really good after only hearing them once fr example headlights, so far, love game, bad guy, rhyme or reason and so much better. Also, I really hope it’s not Eminem’s last album :( But if it is he ended on a high but I doubt it

  29. Coonography
    October 31, 2013 at 2:25 pm

I think a lot of people are let down in a way because they’re hoping everything would sound like MMLP. And it’s not entirely the fan’s fault. I mean, this fucker called the album MMLP2 lol. But there’s lot of solid tracks. This album pretty much beats the shit out of everything released this year. If you’re a rapper putting out an album before the year is over I feel bad for you. Don’t even bother, change your release date. MMLP2 will be what everyone’s talking about four a while. Will definitely buy this when it’s out.

  30. John
    October 31, 2013 at 2:32 pm

I think this is a huge stride from relapse and recovery. The front half of is more classic em and although the second half is more directed towards radio hits it is still enjoyable. Lyrically he still has it and songs like rhyme or reason and so far are very creative and have interesting effective samples. One thing is for sure, Marshall can still write and can still spit. Very strong album.

    October 31, 2013 at 3:04 pm

WOW!! As Adrock once said “Don’t touch the mic baby, Don’t come near it” Eminem again leaves absolutely no room for ANYBODY to touch him lyrically!!! Weclome back the king of rap!!!

  33. Keith grondines
    October 31, 2013 at 3:19 pm

WOWW that album was amazing. lyrically I think this was his best album of all time. his flow was sick, the music style itself I had to get used to but wow the lyrics and flow blew my brain up like dynamite. His rap voice is so unique. I loved all of his songs especially headlights and love game. The album is fucking amazing!!!

    Rap game is over.

Em proves he runs hip hop by dropping possibly his best album ever. Yeah I said it, possibly his best work yet. And I’m a real fan back to 96′ so don’t question me not knowing about Em.

    October 31, 2013 at 5:06 pm

Would love to see Eminem do Headlights live on the Grammy’s and reunite with his Mom onstage. I am speechless with each song, he has his genius in every song, and the ones that some may not like try to remember that no one is perfect and you are not in his position, rose color glasses are a blessing, he lived through a curse. It’s almost like Mrashal stood up and put Slim Shady down, maturity is a beautiful thing.

  37. Andre
    October 31, 2013 at 6:21 pm

Rap God, Brainless, and Evil Twin, that’s all the real Marshall Mather’s that’s the best there is now, but Than Sellout Eminem is the rest of the songs, That’s not stuff id like to be caught bumping loud, And when you got girls saying this goes hard that’s all I needed to see XD most of this album is music for girls

  38. evan
    October 31, 2013 at 6:34 pm

very disappointed. the only good songs are the four singles (which were absolutely amazing), and then 2 decent songs: so far…., and love game. massive disappointment though, did not live up to any of my expectations

    • The King
      October 31, 2013 at 8:00 pm

WHAT!?!? Are you fuckin insane? Bad Guy is his most creative song since Stan (it’s the sequel) – obviously you didn’t understand it. Then there’e Rhyme or Reason, So Much Better, Legacy, Brainless, Stronger Than I Was, So Far…, Headlights, and Evil Twin. This album’s a masterpiece – you and a lot of others just don’t know it yet…

      • evan
        November 1, 2013 at 5:37 pm

First let me get this straight, I DO understand Stan and Bad Guy, I personally think that Stan is the most overrated Eminem song. Yes, it is creative lyrically but it’s pretty much just him talking for 6 minutes and it’s depressing as hell. Don’t get me wrong, I am a HUGE Eminem fan and if you knew me, you’d know that for sure but I’m not saying this album is like Encore bad, I just had really big expectations for it like, MMLP1 kind of expectations. There’s just something about the songs on this album that I don’t like. Some of them just sound like he’s trying too hard to sound young but it just isn’t working. All the songs you listed were not good at all except for so far, and rhyme or reason is kind alright. I totally respect your opinion though and don’t wanna get in a fight, I just viewed the album a little differently than you did.

  39. Darick
    November 1, 2013 at 1:21 am

Wasn’t sure about how I felt about this the first time I heard this album, about 4 or 5 times later, I’ve become somewhat addicted to hearing it. I think this is album is fun to listen to back-to-back with it’s predecessor (The first MMLP), just to see how much Em’s changed and has revisited his Shady-Era roots as he said he would before this album leaked. Eminem always has a theme to every album, this one was “Re-visitation”, reflecting back on who he was then and is now, so it doesn’t bother me so much anymore that he calls it the Marshall Mather’s LP 2. If you go into this album expecting everything in the first one, you’ll probably be disappointed like I was at first. Marshal’s just changed. I say for the better, because he seems happier with himself and his music. That’s what matters to me as a fan.

  40. Shilo
    November 1, 2013 at 1:43 am

Yo, if you only started listing in @ ‘Not Afraid’, then the concept of this masterpiece and it’s references from the very 1st track will be lost on you, so don’t bother trying to understand it. This album is for us who’ve been around since the MMPL, SSLP and the Eshow era, so that’s why it is the truly one of his best albums and falls in the top 4 albums he’s released. This is a worthy sequel and a praiseworthy creative and musical set of work that reminds me why i’m a huge Em fan, you’re proud of what he says, how he says it, where it comes from and how he perfects it, this blew my mind, the best rap/hip-hop album over Drake’s repetitive sad album, over Jay’s mediocre release and the sonic mess that was Yeezus…stunning work by Em, loved it

quick wit cant compete with it, but bullshit from those who comment sin gets more than broken bones and stitches, sounds like a steal knife still tight and just as razor sharp is his bark, bite sinks in deep but no one sees for its after day so that’s closed into dark. candles lit verse pitch so dam sick, mind twist and cooked over like the game is what’s this to many cooks in the kitchen so get out kid. old school but new age, old feelings but found new ways to stay and say the script as it was intended to spray. so this is just as it is or ever needs to be, its his life and he runs just as we do but has more love and hate on ems plate. so say good day, and hello fate. close minded ended up landing on exploded mines and he is just as ready with mind steady over charged like Eveready plus Em said he sat in the front bumping heavy. so get Eddie and the Chevy fill the gas tank up then start heading to joke on all for all stand alone when they alone cant stand tall.

any way this was a good album new sound new em and old tribute song to his mom and that’s grown up and real. now start the hating kids for your minds are blank like ——— this

But hey how can you stay mad and depressed when you have millions. If I was Em I think one more album to say goodbye so he doesn’t mess up his legacy.
